So I'm finally leaving. Like many of my generation, I pretty much grew up on Deviantart. I was a miserable kid, dealing with a whole host of undiagnosed issues and traumas that I wouldn't come to understand until many years later. I was a weird little emo (with all the social baggage that came along with that at the time) I had the misfortune of living super far from all my friends, and my family... Well they always meant well. But mental health awareness in the early 2000s was NOT where it is now. Suffice it all to say, I was isolated as hell lmao. Or at least I was, until I joined Deviantart and got into roleplaying. (Remember how there used to be like 5000 of those groups? And they were actually active lmao) I discovered a form of escapism that uh... Pretty much saved my life, and got me through those miserable school years in one piece. No matter how shitty my day had been, when I got home at night I could go sit on the family computer and load up deviantart. I'd forget
